Final Indoor Farmers Market of the Season this Saturday, April 9
The doors of 701 Commercial will be open this Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm for the final Indoor Market of the season. The farmers market has taken place monthly throughout the winter months thanks to a generous gift from the Emil Babinger Foundation. Saturday markets in the parking lot at 7th and Merchant will begin again in May.
The market will be giving away another $100 in market bucks to Lyon County families; $5 per family. First come; first served. Kids, bring your parents to shop at the market!
Musical entertainment will be provided by Savanna Chestnut starting at 10am. Later in the day we will also hear from our very own singing farmer, Bill Ihling of the co-dependents.
The Emporia Farmers Market began in 1982 and became a year-round market in 2010. Produce and products sold at EFM are grown, made or baked locally, by the vendors. No resale of purchased items is allowed. For information on shopping or becoming a vendor at EFM, please contact the market manager at (620) 343-6555, emporiaFM@gmail.com or visit our website at www.emporiafarmersmarket.org.
