It’s a Soup-a-Palooza! Friends of Emporia Farmers Market to Serve Homemade Soup for Day Long Market Fundraiser

Friends of the Emporia Farmers Market are planning their fall fundraiser on Thursday, November 10, 2011 and the community is invited. Doors will open at 11am and soup will be served until 7pm at the Lyon County Extension Office Meeting Room at 2632 W US Highway 50 in Emporia.

This homegrown dining opportunity will feature the following soups: Chicken Corn Chowder, Creamy Tomato, Butternut Squash & Sweet Potato, and Sausage Potato. Cost of a bowl of soup for dining in is $3. Take home pints will be available for $6. Rolls, corn bread and desserts will be an additional charge.

Bring your co-workers for lunch, or take home soup for the whole family! All proceeds from the fundraiser go toward the operation of the Emporia Farmers Market.
