Biscuits and Gravy Served at the Indoor Winter Market on Saturday, February 2

Friends of the Emporia Farmers Market will be serving biscuits and gravy on Saturday, February 2, when the market opens at 10AM. Cost for a full serving (2 biscuits) $3.00 and cost for a ½ serving (1 biscuit) $2.00. All proceeds go to support the operation of the Emporia Farmers Market.

Live music will be provided by Jane McCoy and Bill Ihling. Jane and Bill are two Emporia-based musicians who combine their talents for an eclectic mix of songs from several diverse genres: old and new country to 60s pop to classic "Americana" and contemporary. Their voices combine to produce a lovely and distinctive harmony, while Jane's cello adds a whole new dimension to the typical "acoustic guitar duo" sound.

The market is open from 10:00 AM until 12:30 and will take place at the Emporia Humanitarian Center (former Lowther South School) at 215 W. 6th Avenue.

The Indoor Winter Market takes place on the first and third Saturdays through April. For more details about the market or about becoming a market vendor, please see the EFM website at
