Celebrating Spin in Public Day at the market on Saturday, September 19

Come to the market on Saturday, September 19, and enjoy a bonus spinning demonstration or two! It's Spin in Public Day at the Emporia Farmers Market. It also just happens to be National Talk Like A Pirate Day, so maybe... just maybe... you'll come across some pirate spinners?

Market opens at 8:00 am!

Come for the great veggies, too! Here's a sample of what was available at last market.

Jirak's will be at market two more Saturdays! Get your melons now, folks!

College Day at the Market, Saturday, September 5, 2015

Join us for College Day and Breakfast Burritos on September 5th

On Saturday, September 5, the Emporia Farmers Market will host “College Day,” encouraging area students to visit the market and meet their neighbors in Emporia.

Friends of the Market will hold the final burrito fundraiser of the season. Try out the “new” market burrito, filled with all local product, including potato, egg, onions, and peppers from market vendors. Burritos will be available in sausage, ham and vegetarian options. Cost is $4. All proceeds go to support the operations of the Emporia Farmers Market.

Area students will provide the entertainment on “College Day” with a variety show starting at 8:30am, including music, dancing, and singing. Limited seating will be available. Feel free to bring a lawn chair to sit and listen for a while.

Performances Include:
Song with Acoustic Guitar (several)
Performer playing Traditional Chinese Instrument
Korean Student Dance Group
And more!

Watch the market calendar online for current schedule of events and entertainment at the market. Also found on the website are guidelines for becoming a market vendor and a directory of current market vendors.
